Synchronise Data Store

Synchronise Data Store

The synchronise data store can be used when the system is online and connected to your Aqualus Water instance.

This page is split into three groups:

  • The ‘Swipe Reports’ section - for incomplete swipe reports to be processed,

  • The ‘Processed Data’ section - for data that has been entered on the device and is ready to be uploaded to the server, and

  • The ‘System Data’ section - for data that has been updated in your Aqulaus Water instance and ready to be synchronised to your device.

For validation, ensuring that you have the latest data and to allow the device to work in ‘offline mode’ when you do not have Wifi or mobile data, it is best practice to sync the app at least twice a day:

  • Always sync the ‘System Data’ section of the app once at the start of the day, and

  • Always sync the ‘Processed Data’ at the end of the day, after all work has been completed.

If you do not sync changes back to the Aqualus Water system using the ‘Processed Data’ section, the work you have performed and all the information will not be actioned, and will not be recoverable if the device is lost or damaged.

Before syncing, the device will consolidate its data with the site to determine what is missing. Un-synchronized tables will display with a red SYNC label. To perform a sync, select the ‘Sync All’ button in the relevant section..

Swipe Reports:

Under some circumstances, a report may not be able to be initiated with Taggle via API, or the report may not be able to be received this may be as a result of any of the following:

1. The device does not have cellular (4G/5G) capability,
2. The device does not currently have an active cellular connection, or
3. The device has an active connection, but cannot connect to the Taggle Swipe APIs.

If there is a number shown in this section, this reflects the total number of advices with swipe reports that were requested for which a response was not received or for which a report could not be requested.

Selecting the “Sync” button will have the effect of:

  1. Initiating the swipe reports for any advice that had not been completed,

  2. Waiting the allotted time, and

  3. Calling the API for the swipe report (see the https://taggle.jira.com/wiki/x/HIGRsAE page for an exmaplation of this process).

If there are Incomplete Swipe Reports and the user performs a sync on the “Processed Data” section, the Swipe Reports sync will be actioned first as part of this process.
