SP2A Installation Guide
The ADC1 part number has been superseded by the SP2A.
See Taggle’s Optimal Radio Performance Guide to learn about important considerations when choosing how to install your SP2A device.
SP2A Device Activation
The SP2A is shipped ready to use in the field and is transmitting hourly.
Every time a device is installed, it will need to be Activated or Swiped via the Magnet Swipe as described below. This, in conjunction with the Survey - Swipe guide, will show if the device is configured and working correctly in the field.
Activation with Magnet
Swiping with a strong magnet over the debossed U symbol will trigger 5 instantaneous transmissions from the device over a 15 second period. It will also ‘Activate’ the device to begin transmitting from its configured interval.
See also the Where to Swipe Taggle devices knowledgebase article.
Taggle Survey Tool
An installer can trigger a burst of transmissions from the SP2A device using the procedure described above.
The installer can monitor the receptions from these transmissions using the Survey - Swipe section of the Taggle Data Portal.
More information and comprehensive instructions for the Taggle Data Portal can be found at Taggle Data Portal User Guide.
