Where to Swipe Taggle devices
Activating or Swiping a Taggle Device can be done via two methods, depending on the Generation of the device:
For Generation 3 devices, via NFC or Magnet:
CK2-S1 - Cockatoo with Myriota Satellite (NFC only)
For Generation 2 and Superseded devices, via Magnet only:
Basic Overview
For magnet capable devices, swiping a strong magnet over the reed switch located inside the Taggle device will force an instantaneous transmission. When swiped, the device will transmit 5 times over 15 seconds.
For NFC capable devices, tapping the NFC contact area of the device will force an instantaneous transmission. When tapped, the device will transmit 5 times over 15 seconds.
Both methods ‘activate’ the device and this process is also used in the field in conjunction with the Survey - Swipe tool in the Taggle Data Portal to commission an install by confirming the device is heard by a receiver.
