Troubleshooting GPS/Location issues
When using the Aqualus Water - Field Operations App it is essential to have the GPS system working correctly to allow accurate capture of the location of the meters in the field.
Use the instructions below to ensure that the GPS is working for your platform:
Android
For Android-based devices, ensure that location settings have been enabled to allow the FOA to capture location data correctly.
Location Settings must be ON:
Go to the App Permissions area and enable ‘Precise Location’ for the Aqualus Water App:
Windows
For Windows-based devices, ensure the below settings have been enabled to allow the FOA to capture location data correctly.
Location Settings must be ON:
Go to the Windows Settings area and Allow Apps to access your location and that ‘Precise Location’ is enabled:
Scroll down and ensure that location services are on for the Aqulaus Water Field Operations App, Camera and Maps:
When the Aqualus App is unable to fetch the location properly, opening Maps on the browser/Maps App and clicking on “My location Dot“ will refresh the location so the users can verify if the location shown is correct.
