Siemens MAG8000 / SP2A

The ADC1 part number has been superseded by the SP2A.

Wiring an SP2A device to a Siemens MAG8000 meter:

Required:

1 x AGRO Brass Cable Gland and reducer (available from Siemens or Taggle)

1 x Sylgard potting kit (available from Siemens or Taggle)

1 x ADC1 with fly-lead (shielded cable)

 

 

  • Remove brass bung on side of meter head, and replace with Brass Cable gland.

  • Feed SP2A cable through gland into meter. If using shielded cable, make sure the shield is mounted under the cable clamps.

  • Wire in Taggle according to the below diagram

NB3D (connectorised) M12 plug wiring (MAG8000 pulse output)

When a Siemens MAG8000 is connected to an NB3D connectorised device via the 5‑pin M12 sensor plug, wire it as a uni-directional C&I meter (2‑wire pulse output).
