NB3D device H5000 Wiring Guide
Wiring a Taggle NB3D device to a H5000 meter configured for a pulse output that represents compensated flow.
Step 1:
Check the output pulse on the H5000.
The H5000 has two pulse output channels – CH1 and CH2. What each pulse represents is marked on the grey shroud.
The meter in the figure below reads:
CH1: 10 L/P F-R
CH2: 100 L/P F-R
The F-R printed implies it is a compensated flow meter. This guide only applies to compensated flow meters.
The inside of the lid should have a sticker on it that gives the colour coding of the different wires.
In the example below:
BLACK = GND Pulse
RED = CH1 Pulse
BROWN = CH2 Pulse
WHITE = Direction/Tamper
In this example, for interfacing with the NB3D Taggle device, either the red or brown wire is used depending on the required litres/pulse.
Step 2: Connect the Taggle M-12 Plug to the H5000.
The cable should be wired to the NB3D using an M-12 plug
M-12 Plug | H5000 Cabel |
Pin 1 - local loop back to Pin 3 (Ground) to ground the tamper loop. | - |
Pin 2 | Connect to brown (CH1) or red (CH2) wire for required K factor as shown on shroud |
Pin 3 | Ground (Black) |
Pin 4 | Leave disconnected. |
Step 2: Connect the Taggle M-12 Plug to NB3D Device and follow the activation Process
